Karen Munoz

Trial Attorney

Karen Munoz has been associated with Martin A. Dolan since 2003, beginning as a law clerk during law school and now serving as an associate trial lawyer since 2008. She specializes in civil litigation, representing individuals who have suffered personal injury due to the negligent and wrongful conduct of others. Karen is a passionate advocate for the rights of individuals.

She is admitted to practice before the Northern District of Illinois Trial Bar, Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals, and the State Bar of Illinois.

She attended the University of Illinois at Chicago, where she earned Bachelor of Art degrees in criminal justice and psychology. She obtained her Juris Doctorate degree from the John Marshall Law School in Chicago.

Fluent in Spanish, she is active in promoting minority causes and diversity issues and currently serves as the Vice Chair of the Minority Section of the American Bar Association. She is also a member of Chicago Bar Association, Hispanic Lawyers Association of Illinois, Illinois Trial Lawyers Association, and the Illinois State Bar Association.

She is a contributor to the Chicago Daily Law Bulletin and its blog “Around the Water Cooler.” When not working, Karen can be found practicing vinyasa yoga.
