Truck Accidents Have Significant Consequences

An overturned truck caused not only a significant traffic problem in Claxton, Tennessee but also contributed to a second accident.  An Anderson County Chief Deputy was officially assisting the Tennessee Highway Patrol by directing traffic in the area of the overturned truck on August 15, 2009.  While he was directing traffic, the Chief Deputy was hit by an oncoming truck.  He was airlifted to the hospital and suffered severe damage to both of his knees.  He will require multiple surgeries and will endure a long recovery period.
