The number of victims of violent crime in the United States rose by 20% from 2015 to 2018, the Bureau of Justice Statistics reported Tuesday. Among people 12 or older, according to the bureau’s National Crime Victimization Survey, the number of victims of crimes other than homicide rose from 2.7 million in 2015 to 3.3 million last year.
